The camera is housed in a nitrogen-filled enclosure and is electrically powered, with automatic tracking via a tilt sensor.

When the crane luffs up or down, the camera remains focused on the hook. The camera angle can be manually adjusted from the cabin using the foot pedal, moving the field of view forwards or backwards. Image and data transmission is handled via a single cable running from the monitor to the camera at the top of the crane.
